Electro-Mechanical Impedance Technique for Assessing the Setting Time of Steel-Fiber-Reinforced Mortar Using Embedded Piezoelectric Sensor

The electro-mechanical impedance (EMI) change in Piezoelectric (PZT) sensors embedded steel-fiber-reinforced mortar (SFRM) was investigated to assess the material setting time. EMI continuously monitored for 12 h by PZT sensor SFRM having fiber volume fraction of 0.5%, 1.5%, and 2.0%. initial final time were estimated using signal change. penetration resistance test, a conventional test method cement mortar, also conducted. In it observed that accelerated as steel increased. On other hand, sensing technique, consistent regardless fraction.
